Leanne graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1981 and was admitted to practise in WA in 1982. She has been practising in Family Law since admission.
Prior to establishing Kelly & Associates she was a partner of Counsel & Kelly Family Lawyers and, prior to that, a partner of Maurice Blackburn & Co.
Leanne was admitted to practise in Victoria in 1989 having decided to move to Melbourne to pursue a more extensive Family Law experience.
She became an accredited specialist in Family Law in 1992.
Leanne has presented papers to various groups on family law, de facto and same sex topics for a number of years, and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
James holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and a Masters of Law.
James has practiced exclusively in family law since admission. He is experienced in all aspects of family law including complex property matters, contested parenting matters, Financial Agreements, Child Support matters, same-sex/LGBITQ matters, surrogacy and alternative conception procedures and Intervention Order matters. James prides himself on providing practical and cost-effective advice to ensure that his clients achieve the best possible outcome.
James is admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria and is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Law Council of Australia and the Law Institute of Victoria.
Lyn holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
After obtaining her law degree, Lyn worked in various roles with the State Government including as the Senior Registrar of Public Sector Appeals and for seven years as a Conciliator and Senior Conciliator with the Anti-Discrimination Commission. Lyn also lectured and marked in the areas of Environmental Law and Corporate Law for the University of Southern Queensland.
Since her admission, Lyn has worked exclusively in the area of family law, including on property matters, parenting matters, Financial Agreements, Child Support matters and Intervention Order matters.
Lyn is admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria and is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Law Council of Australia and the Law Instituted of Victoria.

While working with us, Chloe is undertaking her Juris Doctor at Melbourne University and hopes to be admitted to practice shortly.
